Job description

The Senior Full Stack Software Engineer will lead the design and build of the overall software architecture and product suite.  HDAI has developed an industry-leading methodology for creating sophisticated and highly accurate data models for predicting a range of clinical risks using claims data and a validated supervised learning approach.  These insights are to be used to highlight the most important elements of a patient’s health history to the most important people at the most impactful times.  To accomplish this a complete product suite and architecture is being built including ETL, large-scale databases, real-time integrations with external systems, a publicly facing API, compute engines and several user facing applications.

Key responsibilities
  • Be a hands-on contributor across a full application stack that operates at scale
  • Lead efforts to bring new technologies and best practices into the organization
  • Utilize cloud-native architectures to deliver resilient, high-availability services
  • Help set the standards for code quality and application performance
  • Help define release, testing and automation best practices
  • Participate in the definition and execution of security standards and compliance
  • Maintain an ongoing awareness of emerging developments and trends in technology that could impact or influence current and future product development
Required expertise
  • Thrived in full-stack web development environments for 5+ years
  • 2+ years participating or leading architecture of complex systems
  • Utilized AWS extensively as a cloud provider
  • Passion for writing maintainable, scalable, well-tested code
  • Extensive coding experience languages with Python, JavaScript, Node.js
  • Built scalable RESTful APIs with a framework i.e. Django, Falcon, Flask, Spring Boot
  • Strong grasp of single page applications and React.js
  • Experience deploying applications using containerized services such as Docker
  • Excelled in cross-functional teams, working collaboratively with Product Managers, QA Engineers, Data Scientists, Mobile Engineers, etc.
  • Will thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to find and deliver simple solutions to complex problems
  • Fluent in SQL working with relational databases (Aurura DB/MySQL)
  • Familiarity with JSON and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, etc.)
  • Experience with unit testing and test-driven development
  • Comfortable working with Git in a CI/CD environment
  • Ability to articulate engineering design strategies related to scalability, performance, security, usability, and development platforms
  • Expertise understanding and working with complex data sets and relationships

Job description

As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for executing a System sales strategy. Target organizations include health systems, individual hospitals, and Clinically Integrated Networks (CINs), Payers and Accountable Care Organizations.

Minimum qualifications
  • Lead Generation -Identify customers that would benefit from HDAI’s predictive data analytics and care optimization expertise
  • Lead new and existing Health System, IPA and Payer sales including creation of proposals for target customers.
  • Account management for portfolio of HDAI customers 
  • Partner with HDAI stakeholders, e.g., Product Management, to define partner needs, develop partnership scope and ensure timely execution in line with project plan
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key strategic partners at the executive level
  • Understand and continuously evaluate new opportunities
  • Achieve revenue targets
Preferred education

BS degree in Life Sciences, Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Informatics, or Statistics

Manager, Data Engineering

Job description

The Manager, Data Engineering will leads a team of engineers to develop and maintain critical functions in data engineering and AI operations, including data acquisition and ETL, and dataset management. Experience with inference orchestration and observability is a plus. They must be skilled in scaling databases and services within cloud solutions and can provide both technical leadership for their team as well as mentoring the growth of their reports. They ensure that their team consistently delivers on time while maintaining best software engineering practices.

Key responsibilities
  • Drive collaboration between engineering teams to ensure alignment on goals and strategies
  • Leverage your expertise in data engineering to contribute hands-on to complex projects when needed
  • Collaborate with technical leads to ensure the successful design, implementation, and deployment of data ingest pipelines
  • Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to define project requirements and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure the successful completion of projects
  • Continuously assess and refine team processes to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability
  • Implement best practices for data pipeline deployment, monitoring, and maintenance
Required experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience with data engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
  • Strong hands-on experience with data engineering, ETL, and dataset management
  • Proficiency in Python, Golang, R, Java, or similar languages
  • Experience in managing cloud-based solutions in AWS, Azure, or similar
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD pipelines
  • Proven track record of successfully managing technical teams and delivering complex projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to balance managerial responsibilities with hands-on technical contributions
  • You exemplify strong accountability and ensure the quality of your work and your team
Nice to have

Strong hands-on experience with AI development or AI model deployment, monitoring, and operations 

Preferred education

George has over two decades of consulting, business development and client success experience in health care, working with both providers and payers to address their most pressing challenges. The bulk of his healthcare career was with The Advisory Board, Optum, Premier and Verisk Health, with a focus on risk mitigation, value-based care and population health management. He is deeply passionate about helping healthcare organizations do their best for their patients and beneficiaries. 

When he’s not working, you will find him playing guitar, riding his bike or spending time with family, friends, and his dog Luna.  

Summer Kramer
VP Clinical Programs

Summer is a clinical pharmacist with over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including hospitals, payors, and start-ups. Summer has focused her career on clinical program development and healthcare analytics with a constant drive to improve patient outcomes.

Residing in the pacific northwest, Summer enjoys hiking, camping, sailing, and traveling. She received her PharmD from the University of New Mexico, College of Pharmacy.  

Karan (Kay) Mansukhani
VP Business Development

Kay has a decade of experience in population health analytics.  Starting his career in Maryland’s state-designated HIE – CRISP,  he was entrusted to set up the infrastructure and data elements needed by health system to achieve CMMIs Triple Aim. Kay is a trained epidemiologist who has a passion for preventive medicine, psychology, and anthropology. Kay enjoys spending lazy days with his wife Sonal, and son Avtar on the beach.  Kay also enjoys listening to podcasts, playing the guitar and badminton. He received his joint MPH MBA from Johns Hopkins University.

Kevin Sampson
VP Finance

Kevin is a CPA with 25 years of executive and managerial experience in accounting, corporate finance, and operations in a variety of industries including medical device, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals.

By listening and connecting with people, Kevin understands that accurate timely information is vital for everyone in the healthcare system. He received a BS in Accounting and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Studies from Babson College.

Paul Manberg
VP Clinical and Regulatory Affairs

Paul is an innovative, pragmatic leader with over 40 years’ experience in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries. He has directed clinical trial programs and regulatory activities supporting the successful market introduction of numerous impactful products. He spends his leisure time on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, body surfing and fishing. He received a PhD in pharmacology from The University of North Carolina School of Medicine.

Scott Greenwald
Chief Scientist

With over 25 years’ experience in healthcare research and innovation, Scott is an unprecedented leader in his field, focusing on improved care for everyone. He is an author of over 10 US Patents and over 100 peer-reviewed abstracts and manuscripts. While he’s not immersed in research, you’ll find him playing a mean round of mini golf. He received a PhD in Medical Engineering from the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology (HST).
