He spends his leisure time on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, body surfing and fishing. He received a PhD in pharmacology from The University of North Carolina School of Medicine.

He is an author of over 10 US Patents and over 100 peer-reviewed abstracts and manuscripts. While he’s not immersed in research, you’ll find him playing a mean round of mini golf.
